German Brand Unveils Black Tea Bonfire Electric Motorcycle

A German start-up has revealed its first electric motorcycle, a sort of commuter meets dual-sport with an electric powertrain.

Black  Tea  Motorbikes  is  a  German  electric motorcycle manufacturer which  is  getting ready with its first model, the Bonfire. The new electric motorcycle will  have  the  convenience of a commuter motorcycle, and also double up for  some off-road work if  required. The Black Tea Bonfire has a top speed of 75 kmph, with maximum claimed range of 75 km in Eco mode, and   comes   with   a   dual   removable   battery design. The bike has three riding modes, with different range in each mode. The Bonfire has a  minimalistic,  scrambler  style,  and  according to  Black  Tea,  the  bike  has  started  going  into production.

7.2 bhp) and torque of 195 Nm. In Sport mode, claimed range is 55 km; in Normal mode, range is 65 km, and in Eco mode, range is 75 km. The bike can be charged up to 80 per cent in just three hours and

incorporates a uniform battery system, which ensures  all  Black  Tea  models  are  powered  by the same battery. The Bonfire runs on 18-inch spoked aluminium rims which come wrapped in Heideneau K41 dual-sport rubber. Suspension consists of 31 mm forks up front, with 200 mm of travel, and twin rear shocks.Black Tea Motorbikes was founded by the CEO Viktor Sommer in 2020, and started out by making a vintage-inspired electric motorcycle, which has transformed into the Bonfire. With a crowdfunding campaign, Black Tea has been able to raise over 600,000 Euros (approximately 5.3 crore). The Bonfire is priced at 3,999 Euros (approximately ` 3.5 lakh) and will be offered on sale in Europe and the US.
